Yaya Toure replies Guardiola, nets brace on City return

Former Ivorian international Yaya Toure has fired a strong signal that he is still the best
around as he scored a brace to hand Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City a vital 2 – 1 win over Crystal Palace.

The 33-year-old has been at loggerheads with the Manchester City manager, no thanks to his agent Dimitri Seluk who made provocative comments against the club’s coach. After much plea, the former Barcelona in man marked his shock return to the City team with two goals as his side grabbed a dramatic late win at Crystal Palace.

Toure made his first Premier League appearance of the 2016/2017 season partnering with Diego Nolito upfront. Palace restored parity in the 66th minute when Wilfried Zaha set up substitute Connor Wickham who completed a fine move to make it 1 – 1. Barely seven minutes to the end of the encounter,

Toure who is making a return after about four months turned home Kevin de Bruyne’s corner from close range to give his side maximum points. It ended Crystal Palace 1 – 2 Manchester City. The win moves City second in the table, level on points with leaders Liverpool and with an identical goal difference. Palace, who suffered their fifth straight league defeat, remain one point above the relegation zone.

SME’s appeal to Nigerians to patronise Made-in-Nigeria products

The owners of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) have called on Nigerians to patronize the Made-in-Nigeria goods and services. The SME’s made this call at the first Proudly Nigeria Expo of Made-in-Nigeria products on Wednesday in Abuja. Miss Ajibola Zuhri, owner of Zuhri Concepts said it was imperative for Nigerians to patronise goods made in this country instead of imported goods. Zuhri Concepts is specialized in the production of eco-friendly products like Foot wears, Bags and Souvenir items using indigenous African materials like Ankara, Tie and Dye, Batik, Aso-Oke, among others. “Right now, the country is in economic recession, inflation is high, exchange rate is also high. So it is important for us to patronise home made goods. “This will help to improve the economy and also tackle the problem of recession in the country”, she said. She said that the home made goods were of good quality and therefore advised Nigerians to buy the products to grow the naira. Miss Sandra Nwaobasi, owner of Sandy Self Reliance Skills Enterprises said that the expo was aimed at exposing Nigerian made products, she noted, would encourage self-skills and handwork. Sandy Self Reliance Skills Enterprises specialises in home-made beads, wire work, hat, accessories, twine bag making, pastries, cake making, and all sorts of icing, among others. “If the expo is maximized to its full potential, it would go a long way in empowering young Nigerian entrepreneurs and most importantly promote the Nigerian economy. “If the organizers of the expo focus on the primary aims of the event instead of their selfish desires, it would be a definite success. Nwaobasi condemned the display of non-Nigerian goods at the expo, saying it was a ploy to hijack the expo from the entrepreneurs and was against the goals of the expo. She said there was lack of support on the part of the Government and that they also gave preferential treatment to some enterprises when they visited earlier. “If we are given the needed support alongside the manpower and we are patronised, the small businesses you see today would become large scale enterprises”, she said. Nwaobasi also advised Nigerians to take away the belief that foreign made products were superior to the Nigerian made stating that her products were superior to the foreign made ones. She thanked the organizers for the opportunity given to the SME’s to advertise their made-in-Nigeria products. Miss Adewunmi Adeoye, a corper and a Rural Community Development Assistant of the Abuja Enterprise Agency complained about the lack of customer turnout at the event. Adeoye who showcased a series of Shea-butter products said that her products were of good quality and that it had no side effects compared to the foreign made skin products. Adeoye commended the organizers in their efforts to promote the purchase of Nigerian made products, she noted, would in turn promote the naira.

FUNNY ISN'T IT?

An older couple were lying in bed one night. The husband was falling asleep, but the wife was in a romantic mood and wanted to talk.

She said: "You used to hold my hand when we were courting." Wearily, he reached across, held her hand for a second, then tried to get back to sleep.

A few moments later she said: "Then you used to kiss me."

Mildly irritated, he reached across, gave her a peck on the cheek and settled down to sleep.

Thirty seconds later she said: "Then you used to bite my neck."

Angrily, he threw back the sheets and got out of bed.

"Where are you going?" she asked.

"To get my teeth!"

2. Ease of Use

Weebly's whole experience is super smooth. It's extremely clear and easy to use, changes are simple to implement, and they offer possibly the most intuitive drag and drop tool in the industry. Web.com, is not as simple to use on your own, emphasizing on custom-built sites rather than DIY option. Winner: Weebly

3. e-Commerce

Web.com has fabulous e-Commerce solutions that can help you manage and track your sites easily. Features include full payment processors (even PayPal), simple add products functionality, order management tools, customer tracking, reports, coupon code-maker, and tracking codes to name a few. Weebly has good e-Commerce solutions, but it's got a long way to go. They offer a basic shopping cart and it's easy to add products, but the features and apps need to include more email, analytics, management and responsiveness to compete. Winner: Web.com

4. Features

Both sites offer analytics, custom domain, hosting, social features, and some form of SEO tools. Weebly recently launched their Carbon version, though, which tips the scales. This feature-rich platform includes a real-time dashboard loaded with stats of traffic and e-commerce, a comprehensive site editor, mobile apps for on the go tweaks, and an app center that allows you to integrate with third-party services. Winner: Weebly

5. Mobile Responsive

Weebly offers fully mobile responsive themes that look great, function smoothly and respond well to the touch. As mentioned, they provide a mobile app that lets you monitor and edit while using a mobile device. Web.com doesn't actually have mobile dedicated themes. Rather, their themes will adjust to the mobile device, but this can be choppy at times. Also, there's no mobile app for editing, and all maintenance is done on a separate account from the desktop site, which is rather cumbersome. Winner: Weebly

7. Bottom Line

Both options deliver quality service and a top-notch website. Web.com is the preferred choice, though, if you don't have the time or design skills to really craft the kind of winning website design that makes you stand out. Visit Web.com >>
